The talented team at Southern Breeze Equestrian Center is changing lives on a daily basis. For more than 25 years, we've been sharing our expertise to teach people to ride and learn about horses. We pride ourselves in taking great care of every horse. While sharing our knowledge with students, we have been passionate about bringing joy and boosting self-esteem within our riders and helping people to stay fit. Our special needs therapeutic riding program does wonders for our recipients, their families, and our volunteers alike.

Assistant Trainer (Full Time)
We are in need of an additional assistant trainer to help reduce our extensive waitlist that has steadily grown from our successful and well established program in this prime location.
Who we are:
· USHJA Registered Riding Academy
· PATH International Registered Center for Therapeutic Riding
What we offer:
· 4 arenas (2 jumping, 1 covered with mirrors and Olympic size dressage arena, all groomed daily), covered wash racks, tack stalls and more
· 57 stalls for full board and lesson horses, daily turnout, staffing to provide full service to clients
· Air-conditioned and heated office and lounge
· Over 28 years of proudly serving the horse community which has continuously grown a positive, friendly and nurturing atmosphere for our “barn family” at this beautiful gated location
What we do:
· Develop H/J and Dressage riders from beginner through advanced riders for children and adults
· Take clients to schooling and rated competitions
· Train and coach our SBEC IEA Team
· Teach and service the Special Needs community
· Find and develop horses for students and clients to own or lease
· Hold summer camps, horse shows and special events
What you are needed for:
· To serve as an integral part of our structured riding program by teaching riders how to achieve their equestrian goals with the full support of an established program, team and proven system
· Assist with developing horses in our program for students and for sale
· Assisting with horse health care, basic first aid, and wellness management
· Teaching and assisting riders with special needs in our therapeutic riding program
· Help run camps and assist with special events
· Help with daily office work, scheduling, returning phone calls, and a variety of basic needs that keep the facility functioning at its best
Who you are:
· Experienced horseman with Hunter/Jumper background, must be able to jump a 2' course on a school horse
· Good communication skills, positive attitude, self starter, solid work ethic
· Some general office and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Social Media)
· Flexible hours, must be available to work some evenings and weekends
· Teaching experience preferred but not required
· 18+ with reliable transportation
· Must love people and animals!

Working Student (Full or Part Time)
You will assist with a variety of duties to support the training and teaching staff. Duties include but not limited to: answering phones, side walking for therapeutic riders, grooming and tacking horses, cooling horses down and bathing them, cleaning tack, general light cleaning, assisting the vet or farrier, horse turnout and a variety of other chores as needed. Hours can be flexible. Compensated with lessons and time in the saddle.

Volunteer (Part Time)
If you like to get to know people and help those who need extra help, you'll love this opportunity! You will assist by side walking for therapeutic riders, prepping horses for therapeutic and younger students, help with answering phones, show visitors around, and help with light cleaning to assure that everyone has a great experience. This is a great position for someone who loves horses and the opportunity to meet and greet people. Hours are flexible but you need to be able to commit to the same hours each week for at least two months. Must be 16+.
